Lucy Ann Lowe

Mrs. Lucy Ann Norman Lowe, age 94, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday morning, August 27, 2019 at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living in Mt. Airy.  She was born in Surry County on December 11, 1924 to the late Jacob Allen and Ennice Lorraine Galyean Norman.  She retired from Spencer Knitting Mill where she worked as a seamstress. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Deborah Lowe, Allan and Sherry Lowe; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Sena Moore. In addition to her parents Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Cleveland Lowe; son, John Adam Lowe, great-grandson Lucas Lowe, sisters, Imogne Ramey, Evelyn Smith; half-sisters, Myrtle Ramey and Nellie King; brothers Johnny, Gird and Arnie Norman.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Elder Avery Branch, Elder Jimmy Joyce and Elder Gary Lowe.  Burial will follow in Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home.
