Lucy Nirelle "Nell" Willard Huffman Martin

Mrs. Lucy Nirelle "Nell" Willard Huffman Martin, 73, of 173 Tulip Lane, Mount Airy, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, while a patient at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Martin was born September 21, 1934, in Surry County, to the late Charlie and Louvie Wiggington Willard. She was a homemaker and attended Grace Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, John Marion "Jack" Martin of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Cathy Huffman of Mount Airy and Trent and Melissa Huffman of Lawrenceville, GA; three grandchildren, Erin Huffman of Mount Airy, and Reece Huffman and Ben Huffman, both of Lawrenceville, GA; and a sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Walter Shelton of Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Rex Huffman; and a brother, Karo "Roy" Willard. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by Pastor Jerry Pardue and the Rev. Bill Watson, and burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home, and other times at 173 Tulip Lane, Mount Airy. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
