Lynda Bruce Smith East

Lynda Bruce Smith East peacefully entered her Heavenly Home on October 4, 2022, at Heritage Hall in Laurel Fork, VA. with her loving daughter and son-in-law by her side.  Lynda was born on January 15th to the late Bruce and Beulah Smith.  Lynda was a loving mama, sister, aunt and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially for her sense of humor and her infectious laugh.  She was fun-loving and loved to spend family time gathered around the table.  Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter Paige and son-in-law Charles Edwards of Lambsburg, VA; sisters, Shirley Anderson of Claudville, VA, Betty Mae Christian of Rural Hall, NC and brother Ronnie Smith (Alesia) of Fort Mill, SC. and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Lynda was preceded in death by her husband, Ed East, a brother and sister-in-law Billy Gray and Patsy Smith; her sister and brother-in-law Shelby Jean and Homer Hooker, her brothers-in-law Ray Anderson and Bob Christian and a nephew Tony Smith.  Paige and Charles would like to thank all of the staff and nurses at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows and special thanks to Hospice Care and Lynda’s roommate Brenda Higgins.  The family is planning a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
