Lynn Culler Bowman

Ms. Lynn Culler Bowman, 68, of Cana, VA, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, April 17, 2022.  She was born in Surry County, May 31, 1953, to the late Warren Culler and Melissa Anna Lawson Culler Oliver.  Lynn was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, friend.  She was a devoted Christian, walking four to ten miles daily as long as her health permitted, testifying she was exercising with Jesus.  She enjoyed bluegrass music and flatfoot dancing, relishing the opportunity to go when she had the chance.  She wore her warm smile regardless of the challenges in life, always looked at the positive side of any situation.  Lynn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Stacey and Jeff Bolen, Samantha and Tyler Cannaday; grandchildren, Riley, Charlie, Mitchell and Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anita and Eddie Bowman, Janie and Donnie Turman; brothers, Edward and Terri Culler, and Jeff and Hillary Culler; special nieces, Julie Hughes and husband Rick, and Crystal Bowman; several other nieces and nephews; and “the love of her life”, and husband in the eyes of the Lord, Gary L. Bowman.  In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Lynette Bowman; stepfather James “Jim” Oliver.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Rocky Ford Christian Church with Elder Lacy Gates and Rev.
