Mabel "Orene" Tate Cagle

Mrs. Mabel “Orene” Tate Cagle, 89, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on January 4, 1927 to the late Earnest and Viola Edwards Tate. Mrs. Cagle was retired from Unique Sports. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Brenda Cagle of Mt. Airy, Janelle Martinez and Fernando of Oklahoma; sons and daughter-in-law, Myron Cagle and Deborah, Lennis Gray Cagle all of Mt. Airy; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; a sister, Dorsey Palmer of Cana; a brother, Bobby Tate of Cana. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Gray Cagle; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Todd Deaton, and Joseph Tyler Cagle; a brother, Harvey Tate. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Ford Christian Church Cemetery.
