Mabry Slate Hall

            Mabry Slate Hall, age 22 of Claudville, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.  He was born in Surry County, NC on July 26, 2000.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hampton and Annie Belle Newman Hall; his maternal grandparents, Bill Pruitt and Margaret “Penny” Mabry Redden.  Mabry had worked as a Lineman with Thayer Power and Communication, IBEW Local Union 317.  He was a 2018 graduate of Patrick County High School.  He absolutely loved Line work and turkey hunting.

          Surviving is his father, Willie Hall of Claudville; his mother and stepfather, Leigh Ann and Dr. Scott Corbin of Mt. Airy, NC; five brothers, Camden, Taylor, his twin brother, Lathan, Evan, and Colton Hall all of Claudville; his extended family, Ronnie, Debbie, and Jessica Amos of Stuart; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.

          Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastors Michael Morrison and Teddy Hiatt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Old Mayo Mountain Church Cemetery on Dobyns Rd.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
