Mack Edward O'Neal

Mr. Mack Edward O’Neal, 73, of Mt. Airy, passed away at his home Thursday, October 29, 2020.  He was born in Surry County, July 18, 1947 to the late Fred Anderson and Josephine Venable O’Neal.  Mr. O’Neal worked in construction for several years before starting O’Neal Logging Company where he and his family worked together.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Yvonne Lowe O’Neal; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Devan Musselman; a son and daughter-in-law, Andy Lee and Sheila O’Neal; grandchildren, Andrew, Tiffany, Jared, Jaden, Amber, Markus, and Stormy; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Towe and fiancé Jimmy Love; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Elaine O’Neal; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. O’Neal was preceded in death by a son, Edward Lewis O’Neal.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 2, 2020 at Indian Grove Community Cemetery with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.  His body will lie-in-state at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, Sunday November 1, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
