Mae Katherine Jones Busick

Mrs. Mae Jones Busick, age 92, of Cana, VA passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at her home. She was born in Surry County, December 25, 1931, the daughter of Willie Benton and Josephine Atkins Jones. Mrs. Busick was retired from Sarah Lee, and a long-time member of Northside Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Busick (Pam), Charles Busick (Ruth); grandchildren, Terry Busick, Misty Hawks (Duane), Jason Busick (Ashley); great grandchildren, Justin Busick, Jacee Busick, Eli Busick, and Tyler Hawks; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne Jones (Teresa); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Paul Busick, sisters, Georgia Pike, Frances Jones, and Brenda Peele; brothers, Gaston Jones, Wesley Jones, and Junior Jones, and an infant sibling. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Service Chapel in Mt. Airy with Rev. James Collins officiating. Interment will be held at Flat Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the time for the service.
