Mae Bledsoe Crissman, born April 25, 1925, went to Heaven on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Mae was preceded in death by her sweetheart husband, Ellis Crissman. They were married for 53 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents: Tommy and Anna Edmonds Bledsoe, two brothers: Roger (Betty) Bledsoe, Monroe (Vera) Bledsoe, two sisters: Pansy (Joel) Moore and Vera Smitherman. She left behind her loving family: Son, Brent and wife, Pat Love Crissman of Siloam, NC. Daughter, Joy and husband, Bob Hemmings of Siloam, NC. Her grandchildren: Beth (Daniel) McCraw of Pilot Mountain, NC; Susan (Adam) Duncan of Mount Airy, NC; Dan (Abby) Hemmings of Winterville, NC. Her precious great-grandchildren: Ally McCraw, Kate McCraw, Casen McCraw of Pilot Mountain and Webster Hemmings of Winterville, NC. Her loving sister, neighbor and dear friend, Geneva B. Mabe. Aunt Mae loved all her many nieces and nephews. She wanted them to come and see her to talk, laugh and eat, especially Becky. A special thank you to Doris (Tommy) Bledsoe for her loving care and tenderness as her caregiver to her Aunt Mae. Mae loved her friends, neighbors, and Church family at Siloam Baptist Church where she was a member for over sixty years. She was the oldest living mother at her church. She loved to sing in the choir, and she loved Jesus. She will be remembered for her cooking, canning, sweet smile, and laughter but especially for her servant’s heart. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday April 30, 2021 at Siloam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jarred Seal and Rev. Bill Faw will officiate the services. Her Body will lie in state one hour before the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials be made to Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund PO Box 25 Siloam, NC 27047. A special thanks to Danette Hawks and all Mountain Valley Hospice for their care. There will be no formal services held at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Crissman family.Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
