Mae Nell Lowe Wilmoth

Mrs. Mae Nell Lowe Wilmoth, 80, of 147 Carson Creek Road, Lowgap, passed away Friday, January 12, 2007, at Surry Community Nursing Center in Mount Airy. Mrs. Wilmoth was born October 27, 1926, in Surry County, to the late James Monroe and Betty Jane Lowe Lowe. She was a homemaker and a former cafeteria worker at Lowgap Elementary School. Mrs. Wilmoth was an active member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church until her health declined. She is survived by a daughter, Terri Wilmoth of Mount Airy; a son, Charles Wilmoth of San Francisco, CA; and two grandsons, Justin Avery Goad of Raleigh and Jake Alexander Goad of Chapel Hill. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilmoth was preceded in death by her husband, Earlie Cleo Wilmoth; three sisters, Clora Lowe Doby, Hallie Lowe Benfield, and Reta Lowe Moore; and a brother, Price Lowe. The family will receive friends Monday, January 15, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, and other times at the home of Terri Wilmoth, 166 Wagoner Drive, Mount Airy. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.
