Maggie Catherine Fulk McBride

Mrs. Maggie Catherine Fulk McBride, age 95 of Mt. Airy, widow of Mr. Thomas Jefferson McBride, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. McBride was born in Surry County, December 30, 1910 to Frank and Sally Mitchell Fulk. She was a loving homemaker who will be sorely missed. Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law, Junior McBride and Clyde and Katie McBride all of Mt. Airy; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Gates of Mt. Airy; and Ethel Martin of Tucson, AZ. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by a grandson, Clyde McBride, Jr.; sisters, Mary Sechrist, Ruth Throckmorton, Alice Phillips; and brothers, Ernie, Charlie, John and Moir Fulk. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Kelly Haynes and Rev. James Easter. Burial will follow in the McBride Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of American Health Care of the love and care given to Mrs. McBride during her illness.
