Mairi Ruth McDonald

Ms. Mairi Ruth McDonald, 74, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Duke Regional Hospital of Durham.  She was born in Newport News, VA on November 26, 1943 to the late, Duncan Brown and Mary Ruth Venable McDonald.  Ms. McDonald was a retired Registered Operating Room Nurse from Northern Hospital of Surry County and a member of White Plains Friends Meeting.  She is survived by a daughter, Melissa “Missy” Boyd Hendren; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald T. “Jerry” and Robin McDonald.  A memorial service will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at White Plains Friends Meeting with the Rev. Jake Penley officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
