Mala Mae (Jones) Sellers

Mrs. Mala Mae Ruth Jones Sellers, age 72 of Lexington, formally of Mount Airy, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Village Care of King in King, North Carolina.  Mrs. Sellers was born February 24, 1951, in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Clyde Walter and Annie Arr Villa Lowe Jones.  Mala was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving is her husband, Ronald David Sellers, son and daughter-in-law, Tim Lowe and wife Jennie; three grandchildren, Caleb Lowe and Anna, Mary Lowe Mackie and Tucker, Sophia Lowe McConkey and Dylan; two great-grandchildren, Clara Lowe, a grandson, Callum Lowe on the way, three brothers and sister-in-law, Aster Lowe and Teresa, Jessie Jones and Clarrisa; a sister-in-law, Ollie Jones; and special friend, Roger Amburn.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sellers was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Jones and Bernard Jones.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Rev. D. C. Collins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Galax, Virginia.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
