Mamie Jane Upchurch Potts

Mrs. Mamie Jane Upchurch Potts, 98, of Mt. Airy, NC, passed away at her home, Friday, September 16, 2022.  She was born in Carroll County, VA, June 26, 1924, to the late Frank and Bessie Baker Upchurch.  Mrs. Potts was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother.  She farmed with her family and devoted her life to caring for them.  Mrs. Potts is survived by her children, Thurmond Potts, Annie Potts, Larry Potts, Bill Potts, Georgia Nichols, Mary Lawson, Harden Potts, Polly Isaacs, Carolyn Easter, Rosa Potts, Bobby Potts, Junior Potts, Brenda Easter, Lisa Potts, and James Potts; 43 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by her husband Chrisey Potts; two children, Paul and Cathy Potts; and her six siblings.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rick Crouse, Rev. Jerry King, and Rev.
