Manley "Sonny" Cave

Mr. Manley “Sonny” Cave Jr., age 78, of Dobson, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born, January 21, 1943, in Surry County to the late Judge Manley Cave and the late Minnie Ella Hudson Cave. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Cave, and three sisters. Mr. Cave was a member of Central View Baptist Church, worked at Procter Silex and as a security guard and farmer. Left to cherish his memories are his daughters and son-in-law, Jami and Teddy Guynn and Amy Jones; grandchildren, Natalee Jones and Carlee Jones; his sister, Jewel Dean Carpenter; mother of his children, Linda Cockerham; and special friends, Jerry and Debbie Snow and Jennifer Adkins. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 9, 2022, in the Central View Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Gentry officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central View Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Cave family.
