Marcus Woltz Edwards

Mr. Marcus Woltz Edwards, 78, of Lambsburg, Virginia died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehabilitation. Mr. Edwards was born in Carroll County, Virginia on February 12, 1930, son of the late Marcus and Nancy Payne Edwards. He was a retired furniture factory and sawmill worker and a member of Rocky Ford Christian Church.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his former wife, Lummie Edwards, two daughters and sons- in - law, Gale and Jim Grow and Debbie and Richard Johnson, all of Lambsburg, Va; six grandchildren, Shane Gates, Daniel Gates, Earl Johnson, Laura Peery and husband, Seth, Nancy Gates, and Richard Johnson; five great-grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Edwards; two sisters Virginia Hawks and Viola Slate and one brother, Claude Edwards.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday, March 28, 2008 at Rocky Ford Christian Church in Cana, Virginia with the Rev. Billy Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Rocky Ford Christian Church from 7 pm until 9 pm and at other times at Mr. Edwards's home in Lambsburg, Virginia. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of Trinity Mission Health and Rehab for the kindness and care given to Mr. Edwards.
