Mareva Alpha Quesinberry Dix

Mrs. Mareva (Reva) Alpha Quesinberry Dix, 96, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, August 30, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Dix was born August 10, 1914, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Joseph Calvin and Victoria Shelor Quesinberry. She retired from Quality Mills Inc. and was a homemaker. Surviving are two special nieces, Katie Callahan of Mount Airy and Delcie Montgomery of Ararat, VA; a special great niece, Sonya Ganyard of Pilot Mountain; several other nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; several great great nieces and nephews; and two stepdaughters, Juanita Davis of Winston-Salem and Carol Lowe of Virginia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dix was preceded in death by her husband, James Sherman Dix. The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Rayton Puckett officiating. Burial will at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Katie Callahan, 201 Ester Drive, Mount Airy, NC 27030 to purchase a bronze headstone for Mareva.
