Margaret Wood Cave

Margaret Wood Cave, born October 28, 1933, to the late Brady Wood and Jessie Edmonds Wood, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 19, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and granny.  She retired form Wayne Farms in Dobson and was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church in Lambsburg, VA.  Surviving is her husband of 71 years, Travis Cave of the home; daughters, Shirley Cave Jessup (Lester) of Mount Airy, Betty Cave Adams of Dobson, Lisa Cave Wagoner (Jimmy) of Wytheville, VA; sons, Roger Cave (Kathy) of Mount Airy, Charles Cave of Mount Airy, Jimmy Cave (Kelly) of Pinnacle; one granddaughter which they raised, Victoria Cave Steele; one brother, Clinton Wood (Doris) of Lexington; one sister, Rossie Hicks of Spokane, WA; several nieces and nephews.  Margaret was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and 2 great-great-grandchildren on the way.  A special caregiver, Teresa Pack.  A special thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice for their care and compassion.  In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Emma Lou Hicks, Gracie Wood Gordon, Edna Mae Hicks and brothers, Monroe Wood, Bill Wood, Arnold Wood and Mack Wood.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Holly Grove Baptist in Lambsburg, VA with Rev. Woodrow Flippen and Rev. Brian Pack officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Cave family.
