Margaret Mary Smith Lasicki

Mrs. Margaret Mary Smith Lasicki, 78, of 411 Charlie Norman Road, Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Lasicki was born January 13, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Norville Robert and Anna Josephine McKeaver Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol Lasicki-Gustafson of Morrisville, NY, Pat and Andy Fulkerson of Madisonville, KY, and Joan and Tim Doss of Mount Airy; a son, Rick Lasicki of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Cody Fulkerson and his wife, Trish, of Madisonville, KY, Anna Gustafson of Syracuse, NY, Douglas Gustafson of Morrisville, NY, Julie Lasicki of Bluefield, WV, and Emily Gustafson of Morrisville, NY; two great-grandchildren, Otto Fulkerson and Elanor Fulkerson, both of Madisonville, KY; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Richard Dale Reeves of Mount Airy and Gary Sprague of Morrisville, NY. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lasicki was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Joseph Lasicki; a granddaughter, Kara Fulkerson; and two brothers, Raymond Smith and Bobby Smith. A funeral mass will be held Friday, March 16, 2012, at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church, with Father Eric Kowalski officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM in the Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
