Margaret Mary Perkins Parker

Ms. Margaret Mary Perkins Parker, 62, a loving mother and grandmother, formerly of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday morning, September 3, 2009, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Parker was born March 4, 1947, in Trenton, NJ, to the late Robert and Elizabeth Birkner Perkins. She was last employed at Collins Chevrolet. Surviving are a daughter, Stefanie Parker of Pfafftown; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Eve Karlin of East Hampton, NY; three grandchildren, Allison Karlin, Jayson Karlin, and Benjamin Karlin, all of East Hampton, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Jim Moran of New Jersey; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Ginny Perkins of New Jersey and Frank and Elaine Perkins of Mount Airy; and a very special furry friend, Maggie. A memorial service will be held Sunday September 6, 2009, at 3:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Todd E. Byrd officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. A special thank you is extended to the staff at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home for the love and care given to Mrs. Parker during her illness.
