Margaret H. Taylor

Margaret Elizabeth Hennis Taylor, 93, of Mount Airy, passed away February 24, 2018. The daughter of Hugh L. and Mamie Carter Hennis, she was loved by many and will always be missed. She was a longstanding member of First Baptist Church. Surviving is a daughter, Cindy T. McCabe and husband, Mike of Raleigh; sons, Hugh Taylor of Mt. Airy, and David Taylor of Winston-Salem; son-in-law, Thomas Poole of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Charles Scott of Raleigh; and Amy Scott of Apex; great grandchildren, Aiden Nathaniel Scott and Carter Preston Scott of Apex. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Carter Taylor Poole; her husband of 40 years, Billy V. Taylor; sisters Helen Crossingham, and Billie Clark; and a brother, Hugh L. Hennis, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 2nd at First Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service in the Fireside Room. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 714 N. Main St., Mount Airy, NC 27030.
