Margie Carolyn (Haynes) Leftwich

Mrs. Margie Carolyn Haynes Leftwich, age 72, formally of Cana passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Virginia.  Mrs. Leftwich was born December 29, 1950, in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Herbert and Margie Marie Davis Haynes.  Margie was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Lorene Marie Sisk and Walter; a sister-in-law, Sharon Haynes; a nephew, Chad Haynes.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Leftwich was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Fonzo Leftwich; two brothers, James Haynes, Foynoy Haynes; and a niece, Missy Haynes Willard.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Church of the Brethren in Cana, Virginia.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Valley Health Care Center for the care given to Mrs. Leftwich.  A special thank you to Tara Sweat for the love she showed to Mrs. Leftwich.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
