Margie Waugh

Mrs. Margie Jones Waugh was born in White Plains, NC, but resided in Miami, FL, at the time of her passing on Monday, July, 8, 2019, at the age of 89.  She attended White Plains School before graduating from Draughon Business College in Winston-Salem, NC.  At an early age, she professed her faith in Christ.  As a young adult, she participated in a vocal group singing with her sister and two cousins in local church services.  Her interest in worship music continued throughout her life and she thoroughly enjoyed playing the piano.  Margie is survived by her husband, George; her children, Barry (Sandy) and Karen; and her granddaughter, Heather (John) and their child.  The Apostle Paul said to the church in Philippi, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain,” and Margie now shares the gain of eternal life described by these words from the Bible.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 1:00 PM at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Airy, NC.  No formal visitation will be held.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy, NC, is serving the family.
