Marion Overcash Mills

Mrs. Marion Overcash Mills, of 1000 Ridgecrest Lane, Mount Airy, passed away Friday, April 10, 2008. She worked at Blue Ridge Insurance Agency as an agent, was a member of First Baptist Church, a graduate of Kings Business College, an avid bridge player, and a homemaker. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Hale of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren and spouses, Scott Hale and Jenny of Acworth, GA, Dean Abee and Melissa of Kernersville, and Lynn Frick and Tyler of Salisbury; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Mills; and a daughter, Gloria Abee. The funeral service will be held Sunday, April 13, 2008, at 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by Dr. Roger Gilbert, and burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 until 4:00 PM in the Fireside Room of First Baptist Church.
