Mark Anthony Nixon

Mr. Mark Anthony Nixon, age 59, of Lowgap, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Surry County on November 12, 1962, to the late Norris and Barbara Mosley Nixon.  Mark loved hunting, fishing and he loved his daughters. He was a very devoted family man and enjoyed life.  He was a loving husband, father and soon to be grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Christina Bell Nixon; children, Madison Nixon, Kristen Nixon (Bradley Tate); one grandchild on the way, Christopher Lee Tate; sister-in-law, Sandra Nixon.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Nixon was preceded in death by his brother, Randall Nixon.  There will be no formal services at the funeral home, however, the family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
