Martha Emille Puckett Goins

Mrs. Martha Emille Puckett Goins Age 89 of 231 Paynetown Rd. Mt. Airy widow of the late Roscoe Gene Goins passed away Sunday April 8, 2007 at the home of her son. Mrs. Goins was born December 22, 1917 in Patrick County, VA. to the late Paola and Mary Belle Shelton Puckett, she was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-laws Mary and Haskell Easter, Pauline and Gary Wright of Mt. Airy and Johnnie and Greg Holt of Ararat, NC., four sons and daughters-in-law Billie and Judy Goins, Glenn and Kathleen Goins, Doug and Kathy Goins and Garry and Nancy Goins all of Mt. Airy, 24 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. a sister-in-law Voda Rice of Claudville, VA. and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Hubert and Mary Agnes Goins of Claudville, VA. In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by two daughters Pansy Beatrice Goins and Carol Afton Goins Hensley a son Gene Carson Goins, three sisters Ethel Puckett Hiatt, Gracie Ellen Puckett and Alice Puckett Pettit, and by eight brothers Ray Puckett, Orson Puckett, Paola Puckett, Heber Puckett, Joseph Puckett, Lawrence Puckett, Ephram Puckett, Warren Puckett and Wilford Puckett. Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 11, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Bishop David Hiatt and Elder Joe Sloop with burial to follow in the Goins Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night 7 to 9 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
