Mrs. Martha Sue Wilson Johnson, 75, of Pinnacle, passed away Sunday evening, December 27, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Johnson was born August 27, 1945, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Dean Worth and Myrtle Ruby Hodges Wilson.  Martha worked as an administrative assistant for many years.  Her career spanned at Spencer’s Inc., Mount Airy Furniture Company, and Kentucky Derby Hosiery.  Mrs. Johnson was a faithful member of Union Hill Friends Meeting.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Teddy Ray Johnson of the home; a daughter, Sherrie Denise Johnson of Pilot Mountain; a son and daughter-in-law, David Ray and Donna Johnson of Pilot Mountain; three grandchildren, Ryan David Johnson of Rock Hill, SC, Austin Shane Johnson and his wife, Lauren, of Charlotte, and Staymon Lee Johnson of Woodlawn, VA; and a sister-in-law, Jeannie Wilson of Woodbridge, VA.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Jennings Wilson.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 2:30 PM at Union Hill Friends Meeting Cemetery, with the Rev. Ernest Brown and the Rev. Fonda Younger officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  Due to public health concerns, attendees are requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC  27030; or a charity of the donor’s choice.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
