Martha Jane Allred Key

Mrs. Martha Jane Allred Key, 65 of Ararat, NC passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Sunday, March 3, 2013. She was born in Surry County on January 1, 1948 to the late Joe Hollingsworth and Jessica Welch Allred. Mrs. Key was a member of Blackwater United Methodist Church and retired from Medical Associates of Surry. She was a loving wife, mother and "nana"; sister and friend. Mrs. Key is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Lynn Key of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Andy Lynn and Candice Puckett Key, Bradley Scott and Katie Hiatt Key all of Ararat; four grandchildren, Abigail Elizabeth Key, Jackson Allred Key, Joshua Andrew Key and Lilla Jane Key; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen Mitchell and husband, John of Rockhill, SC, her twin sister, Mary Dickerson and husband, Dick of Statesville, and Beth Williams and husband, Dick of Raleigh, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Key was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Allred. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Turman and Rev. Richard Loman officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
