Martha Kate (Carter) Minix

Mrs. Martha Kate Carter Minix, 39 of Mount Airy, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Minix was born on August 16, 1983, in Forsyth County to Dwayne M. and Karen Brintle Carter.  Martha was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who loved her Lord and Savior, her family, her friends, and especially her daughter, Clara.  Mrs. Minix enjoyed cooking and baking for her family; and she will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  She is survived by her husband, Reverend Kevin Minix, a daughter, Clara Kate Minix; her parents, Dwayne M. and Karen Brintle Carter, a sister, Elizabeth Carter Vernon and Nick Easter; three nieces, Emma Vernon, Salem Carter, Marcie Easter; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randall and Patricia Minix; and sister-in-law, Julie Furniss and husband Brett.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Haymore Memorial Baptist Church in Mount Airy.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Haymore Memorial Baptist Church in Mount Airy from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Haymore Memorial Baptist Church Youth, P.O. Box 27, Mount Airy, North Carolina  27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
