Martha Faye Coleman Pike

Mrs. Martha Faye Coleman Pike, 77, of 2035 North Main Street, Mount Airy, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Pike was born August 26, 1930, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson "Jack" and Ollie Westmoreland Coleman. She retired from Spencer's Inc. after 40 years of service and was a longtime member of Grace Moravian Church. She is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth Burton and Jackie and Bill Scott, all of Mount Airy; a niece and her husband, Melinda and Craig Edwards of Lake Norman; six nephews and their wives, Allen and Judy Burton, Coley and Jan Burton, Greg and Holly Scott, and Frank and Christy Greenwood, all of Mount Airy, Andy and Kim Scott of Clemmons, and Chris and Diana Scott of Cana, VA; several great-nieces; and several great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pike was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Calvin Pike; a sister, Lena Greenwood; and two brothers-in-law, Herbert Burton and Joe Greenwood. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Grace Moravian Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Jeff Coppage, and burial will follow in God's Acre. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 until the time of the service in the parlor at Grace Moravian Church.
