Martha Jeannette Caudle Rule

Mrs. Martha Jeannette Caudle Rule, 82, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Rule was born December 22, 1923, to James R. and Bessie Wall Caudle. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Russell Caudle and Guy Caudle; and three sisters, Laura Caudle, Bernice Caudle, and Eva Simmons. She was a lifelong member of Bannertown Baptist Church. Mrs. Rule is survived by her loving husband, Samuel R. Rule; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Kay Rule of Asheville and Jeff and Armida Rule of Pilot Mountain; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and George Womble of Buies Creek and Bess Jane and Mickey Love of Westfield; ten grandchildren and spouses, Brandon and Georgia P. Love, Travis and Lucy S. Love, Matt and Mary Ruth C. Love, Chris and Tory E. Rule, Lance and Lindsey R. White, Robin Womble, Badgett Womble, Paul and Holly W. Buceti, Sam and Amanda H. Rule, and Lynn Rule; ten great grandchildren, Maggie Jane Love, Todd Rule, Anna Rule, Amy Rule, Tommy Rule, Joseph Buceti, Isabella Buceti, Riley White, Cooper White, and Logan White; a sister, Mildred Short; and three sisters-in-law, Jean Hutt, Tish Caudle, and Shirley Caudle; and several special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy on Friday, October 27, 2006, from 9:00 am until time for her body to be taken to the cemetery. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens with Dr. Rick Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bannertown Baptist Church Building Fund, 1834 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030, or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Northern Hospital of Surry County and especially Dr. David Majure for their love and care.
