Marvene Goodson Easter

Mrs. Marvene Goodson Easter, age 67 of Lowgap wife of Mr. David Eugene "Gene" Easter passed away Sunday morning April 15, 2007 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Mrs. Easter was born April 2, 1940 in Surry County to the late Oscar and Marie Doby Goodson, she was employed at Tultex Corporation and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are her husband Mr. David Eugene "Gene" Easter of the home, One daughter and son-in-law Tina and Robin Edwards of Lowgap, two grandchildren, Hunter Edwards and Macey Grace Edwards, one sister and brother-in-law Betty and Rev. Larry Stone of Mt. Airy, three brothers and sisters-in-law Woodie and Georgia Goodson of Lowgap, Willard and Madeline Goodson of Galax, VA. and Jimmy Goodson of Mt. Airy, Several nieces and nephews, one aunt Josephine Doby, of Lowgap, a uncle and spouse Dan and Pat Doby of Punta Gorda, FL., and special friends Okie and Eva Galyean of Lowgap. In addition to her parents Mrs. Easter was preceded in death by two brothers Dean Goodson and Don Goodson. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday April 17, 2007 at Mountain View Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Russell Parsons and Rev. Larry Stone. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Mountain View Baptist Church.
