Marvin Lee Keene

Mr. Marvin L. Keene, age 80 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born in Patrick County on May 24, 1941, to the late Archie Keene and Clara Wiggington Keene. Marvin had retired from VDOT. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard and was a member of American Legion Post 105. He served in the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. He volunteered at the Southern Virginia Motorsports Museum and the Jeb Stuart Birthplace.

Surviving is his loving wife, Shirley Ore Keene of the home; one son, Robert Lawrence of Alta Vista; and one sister, Edna Trent and special friend, Charles.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating. Military rites will be performed by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
