Marvin Wayne Plaster

Mr. Marvin Wayne Plaster, age 64 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born in Patrick County on September 28, 1942. He had been a lab technician with United Elastic Corporation, and had been a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Patrick Springs. He was preceded in death by his father, John Daniel Plaster.
Mr. Plaster is survived by his wife, Janice Scearce Plaster of the home; a son, Steve Plaster of Patrick Springs, a step-son, Sam Turner, Jr. of Eden, North Carolina; his mother, Vera Martin Plaster of Patrick Springs; three brothers, J. D. Plaster of Newark, Delaware, Darrell Plaster of Stuart and Donald Plaster of Patrick Springs; and four sisters, Barbara Fain of Stuart, Frances Spence of Patrick Springs, Marie Gunter of Stuart and Dana Joyce of Patrick Springs.
Funeral services for Mr. Plaster will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Stella Christian Church with Pastor Steve Hayes and Pastor Dale Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. Mr. Plaster will lie in state at his home at 29019 Jeb Stuart Hwy. on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to Sunday 11:00 a.m. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements.
