Ella Atkinson Badgett

Mrs. Ella Atkinson Badgett, age 101, of Dobson, NC passed away at her home on Friday morning September 10, 2021. She was born in Surry County on July 20, 1920, to the late Frank Atkinson and the late Hessie Southern Atkinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Warren Ivan Badgett, son Lonnie Badgett, grandson Joseph Badgett, all her siblings. She was a member of Blues Grove Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Teddy Tarlton; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Lynnette Badgett; granddaughters, Tracy Thomas, Ruth Ann Badgett; great granddaughters Logan and Lacey Badgett. A graveside service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday in the cemetery of Blues Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tony Holder will officiate the service. Her body will be at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of her graveside service for friends and family to come view her body. The family would like to give a special thanks for the love and care given to their mother, Danette Hawks and Jean Hemmings. In lieu of flowers memorials may be to the donor’s choice.
