Mary Elizabeth Holder Becker

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Holder Becker, 61, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday evening, November 23, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Becker was born January 16, 1960, in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Woodrow Thomas and Ella Faye Wilson Holder. Mrs. Becker is survived by her husband, Gregory Becker; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory Becker, Jr. and Lisa Becker and Christopher and Anna Becker; a grandson, Gregory Becker, III; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Nancy and Jim Baity, Vivian and Bill Seal, and Jewel Stanley; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Bernell Holder, Donald and Doris Holder, the Rev. Butch and Sandra Holder, and the Rev. Sam and Thelma Holder; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Becker was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jean Phipps and Louise Michaels. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Holy Cross Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Butch Holder and the Rev. Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. No formal visitation will be held. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
