Mary Mabel Jessup Bowman

Mrs. Mary Mabel Jessup Bowman age 93 of 3846 Squirrel Spur Road, Meadows of Dan, VA, widow of Robert Lee Bowman, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Bowman was born in Patrick County on July 16, 1913 daughter of the late George Jessup and Mary Etta Matthews Jessup. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-laws, Pauline and Arthur Boyd, Barbara Ann and Leonard Bishop all of Ararat, VA and Imogene and Ronnie Culler of Fieldale, VA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lee Bowman, Jr. and Bonnie of Hillsville, VA and Bradley and Sharon Bowman of Mount Airy; seven grandchildren and spouses, Robin and James Largen, Rodney and Sheila Boyd, Randy and Stephanie Bowman, Kim and John Weddle, Allen Bowman, Debbie Bowman and Eddie and Emily Bowman: nine great-grandchildren, Matthew Largen, Courtney, Caitlin, Madison and Brett Bowman, Cody, Jessica and Jill Boyd and Jordan Weddle; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lottie Ann and Roger Gammons of Claudville and Peggy Sue and June Jessup of Westfield and two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Arthur Lee and Mary Lois Jessup and James Paul and Bonnie Jessup all of Westfield. In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by sisters, Dove Jessup, Ora Jessup, Era Epperson and Bernice Gammons and a brother, Carl Jessup. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 27, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Rick Byerly with burial to follow in Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at Moody Funeral Home from 12:30 until time for the service and at or times at the homer of her daughter Pauline Boyd.
