Mary Ann Carter

Ms. Mary Ann Carter, 67, of Mount Airy, passed away early Monday morning, July 15, 2024, at the SECU Hospice Center in Yadkinville. Ms. Carter was born August 22, 1956, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Charlie Eugene and Lois Ann Marshall Carter. Mary Ann worked as a registered nurse at Northern Regional Hospital and Lincare for many years. She is survived by her special friends, Sharon and Larry Spurlin, Darlene Love, and Betty Hamm; as well as her extended family. In addition to her parents, Ms. Carter was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Carter. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Richard Loman officiating. No formal visitation will be held. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Oakdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SECU Hospice Center, 243 North Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055; or a charity of the donor’s choice.
