Mary Jo Collins

Mrs. Mary Jo Hill Collins, 76 of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her home.  She was born February 24, 1942 to the late Rufus Hazel and Ethel Vernell Coins Hill Holt.  Mrs. Collins was a homemaker and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and James Pell Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Randy Simpson and wife Joan; grandchildren, James Gray Pell Jr and wife Meaghan, Mary Elizabeth Pell, Rachel Amanda Pell King and husband Dustin, Hannah Noelle Simpson, great granddaughter, Ada Grace King and a great-grandchild on the way; sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce Ann Johnson and husband Edsel, Laurel Rebecca Nunn.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Leon McArthur Collins, and a sister, Erma Jane Montgomery.  A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Pastor Tim Morrison and Bro. Mike Quesenberry.  Burial will follow in the Westfield Friends Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt Airy and at other times at the home of Lisa and James Pell.  In lieu of flowers the family request that donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
