Mary Katherine Combs

Mrs. Mary Katherine Felts Combs, age 82, of Mt. Airy, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, January 09, 2019.  Mrs. Combs was born in Surry County on January 27, 1936, to Harley Franklin and Effie Ola Tickle Felts.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.  Among those who will always cherish her memory are daughters, Mary Brintle, Rebecca Henderson, Patricia Combs, a son Kenneth Combs, Rebecca’s husband Michael Henderson as well as Patricia’s and Mary’s significant others, Trent Little and Teddy McMillian; her grandchildren, Lauren Henderson, Wendy Keck, and Amy Clingenpeel; her precious great grandchildren, Riley Brintle, Marley and Titus Keck; sisters, Betty Atkins, and Rachel Vaughn; brothers, Wade and Dennis Felts; a brother-in-law, Roger Atkins, and a sister-in-law, Joyce Felts.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Combs was preceded to the Lord Sovereign God by her husband, Victor Marion Combs; and brothers, Robert and Billy Felts.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 11, 2019, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Stone.  Burial will follow in Bobbitt-Quesinberry Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
