Mrs. Mary Etta Bonham Cregger age 87 of 119 Evergreen Drive, Mount Airy, widow of Waymond Ely Cregger, passed away at her home on Friday, August 18, 2006. Mrs. Cregger was born in Wythe County on December 24, 1918 daughter of the late Ephriam Roy Bonham and Cora Elizabeth Bennington Bonham and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Tate and Jo Ann McMillian both of Mount Airy; one son, Richard Ely Cregger of Creedmoor; three grandchildren and spouses, Marty Dale and Diane Murray of Mount Airy, Shannon Tate of Wilmington and Beth and Timmy Goins of Pinnacle; three great-grandchildren, Laurie Frye, Jennifer Murray and Stephanie Seats; one great-great grandchild, Kylee Seats; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven Bonham of Independence, VA, Ernest and Reba Bonham of Wytheville, VA and Billy and Mary Jane Bonham of Charlotte Hall, MD and many special friends. In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Cregger was preceded in death by one grandson, Kenneth Murray and two brothers, Carl Bonham and Clark Bonham. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Dennis "Bud" Cameron and Rev. Bill Randolph with burial to follow in the Mount Ephriam United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wytheville, VA.
