Mary Louise "Faye" Dixon

Mrs. Mary Louise “Faye” Horton Dixon, 61, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born February 4, 1957, in Forsyth County, to the late William Ernest “Bunk” and Mary “Peggy” Goins Horton.  Mrs. Dixon was a retired certified nursing assistant.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Brian Watson; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, April Hiatt and her fiancé, Ricky Oakley, Teresa “Lucille” Horton, and Erlene Horton; a brother and sister-in-law, David Horton and his fiancée, Diane Tate; her stepmother, Esther Horton; and a special cousin, Kim Hatfield.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by a son, Mikle Eugene Dixon, Sr.; a grandson, Mikle Eugene Dixon, Jr.; and a sister, Rosa Annette Gates.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. James Odum officiating.  Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home for the love and care given to Mrs. Dixon.
