Mary Emillie Goins Easter

Mrs. Mary Emillie Goins Easter, age 72 of Mt. Airy passed away at Forsyth Medical Center Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Mrs. Easter was born in Patrick County on February 12, 1940 to the late Roscoe and Martha Puckett Goins. She worked at Spencer's and Roses before retiring from Renfro Corporation. She had a heart of gold, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all. She is survived by her husband, Haskell Lindsay Easter of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Phillip Shane Castevens, Deborah and Jeffrey Blake Culler all of Mt. Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Anthony and Melinda Willard Easter of Mt. Airy; seven grandchildren, Kana Torres, Kasey Castevens, Haskell Easter, Lindsay Castevens, Amanda Culler, Anthony Easter and Adam Culler; two great grandchildren, Issac and Mirian Torres; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and Gary Wright of Mt. Airy, Johnnie and Greg Holt of Pilot Mountain; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Kathleen Goins, Garry and Nancy Goins, Doug and Kathy Goins, Billie and Judy Goins all of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Easter was preceded in death by two sisters, Pansy Goins and Carol Hensley; an infant brother, Gene Carson Goins. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Leon Hiatt, Rev. Larry Phillips and Bishop Ray Riska officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army 651 South St. Mt. Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Golden Living Center, Northern Hospital Emergency Department, Dr. Vincent Miller, Dr. Jan Kriska for their loving care during Mrs. Easters illness.
