Mary Elizabeth Jacobs Jenkins

Mary Elizabeth Jacobs Jenkins journeyed to her heavenly home on Monday, August 28, 2023, to be reunited with her husband, William Walker (Willie ) Jenkins and her grandson, Kevin Glenn Scott.  Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Allen Bricker, her brother Jimmy Jacobs (Barbara), sister, Louise Jacobs Melton.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Jacobs Chand.  Per Mary’s wishes, there will be know formal services at the funeral home. Due to  the new COVID variant outbreak, a private graveside will be held at a later date at Skyline Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  The family sincerely thanks Mary’s special friends, Bo Bowman, Bud and Marie Hooker, Buddie and Sylvia Marion, Charles and Judy Davis, and also to Twelve Oaks Assisted Living, Central Continuing Care, Dean Culler PA, and his associates, Dr. John Gravitte's office, Surry County EMS, Northern Regional Hospital E.R., and Moody Funeral Services for their care, support, and kindness during this time.  

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.  There is a time to live, and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to harvest; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to rejoice; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to speak, and a time for solitude; a time to love, and a time for memories.  I have seen everything beautiful in its time, and now it is my time to go, I have had a good life.
