Mary Beth Fields

Mrs. Mary Beth Fields, age 62 of Stuart, passed away Monday, August 28, 2006 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. She was born in West Virginia on July 5, 1944 to the late George Creger and Ruth Hunt Creger of Hico, West Virginia. In addition to her father, Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by one brother, Glen Creger. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, and was an eligibility worker for Patrick County Social Services. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Fields is survived by her husband, Marvin Fields of the home; three sons, Marcus Fields of Williamsburg, Malcom Fields of Gainesville, Georgia, and Matthew Fields of Richmond; one grandson, Noah Fields; one step-granddaughter, Sydney Fields; and one sister, Marcia Yeager of Huntsville, Alabama. Funeral services for Mrs. Fields will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Sycamore Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church. A graveside service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Goodhope Baptist Church Cemetery in Ansted, West Virginia. If desired, memorials may be made to Smith River Rescue Squad, P.O.
