Mrs. Mary Frances Felts Galyean age 71 of 168 Rose Bud Lane, Lowgap, NC wife of Mr. Reed Troy Galyean passed away Saturday morning, January 6, 2007 at her home. She was born July 14, 1935 in Carroll County, VA to the late T.R. and Lula Jones Felts. She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Troy Galyean of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Rev. Randy Bartley, Lowgap, NC, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry and Shelby Elaine Galyean, Lowgap, NC and Ronald Galyean, Sr., Lowgap, NC, seven grandchildren and four spouses, Shannon and Bert Pardue, Lowgap, NC, Chris And Pepper Galyean, Lowgap, NC, Jeffey and Dee Bartley, Mt. Airy, NC, Christina and Tim Rojas, Fayetteville, NC, Stacy Galyean Mocksville, NC, Ronald Galyean, Jr., Kayla Bartley, Lowgap, NC, four great grandchildren, Tyler Galyean, Seth Akers, Hunter Akers and Christopher Galyean and two step great grandchildren, Sammi Kay Pardue and Miranda Burch, two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ila Faye and Dan Williams, Galax, VA Inez and Willard McRoberts, Galax, VA. a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Dee Felts, Galax, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Galyean was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Kay Galyean, two sisters, Pauline Surratt and Gladys Felts and a brother, Early Felts. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 8, 2007 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Woodrow Flippen and Rev. Johnny Johnson. Burial will follow in the Independence Baptist Church Cemetery in Fancy Gap, VA. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 PM Sunday night at Pine Ridge Baptist Church where her body will remain until the hour of the funeral service.
