Mary Frances Boles Greene

Ms. Mary Frances Boles Greene, age 85 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007 at her home. Ms. Greene was born in Surry County, April 22, 1922 to Joseph Franklin and Sadie Pricilla Joyce Boles. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was retired from Proctor-Silex. Ms. Greene was a member of Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Peggy and Hassell Dollyhigh; Mary Webb and Carolyn and Larry Newman, Sr. all of Mt. Airy; a son, Joseph Greene of Dobson; eight grandchildren and seven spouses, Devon Moore, Mt. Airy, Frances and Darrell Nichols, Mt. Airy, Randy and Melinda Moore, Mt. Airy, Rodney and Whitney Webb, Tokyo, Japan, Richard and Bonita Webb, Mt. Airy, Larry and Tammy Newman, Mt. Airy, Danny and Kristy Moore, Dobson, Paul and Dena Newman, Mt. Airy, 21 great grandchildren, two sisters, Ossie Terrell and Anna Jones McMillian both of Mt. Airy, and a sister-in-law, Vive Boles, Mt. Airy, cherished friends and faithful visitors, Betty Marshall and Linda Payne both of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Ms. Greene was preceded in death by a son, Miles Greene, Jr. and a brother, Charlie Boles. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Elder Johnny Belton, Elder Gary Lowe and Elder Lacy Gates. Burial will follow in Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 PM Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home where her body will remain until the hour of the service.
