Mary Evelyn Hardin

Mrs. Mary Evelyn Greenhill Hoyle Hardin, 76 of Dobson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mrs. Hardin was born on April 10, 1942, in Cleveland County to the late John Anderson Greenhill and Martha Irene Berry.  Mrs. Hardin lived her life loving people and Jesus and had a passion for cooking, sending cards to those she loved, and sewing.  Mrs. Hardin is survived by her husband, Larry Hardin; daughter, Tammy Whittington (Junior); son-in-law, James Selba, Sr.; grandchildren and spouses, Lisa Selba (Velvet), James Selba, Jr. (Crystal), and Jennifer Whittington; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Greenhill; nephew and spouses, Paul Greenhill, Jr. and Douglas Gilbert; great-nephew, Chad Gilbert ; great-niece and spouse, Melissa Braniff (Jordan); and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Selba; brother, Paul Greenhill, Sr.; niece, Nancy Gilbert; and great-niece, April Greenhill.  A funeral service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Fancy Gap Baptist Church in Mount Airy with Dwight Sechrist, Russ Nixon, and Ernest Brown officiating and the hospice choir performing.  Burial will follow in Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 until 2:00 at Fancy Gap Baptist Church.  In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Hardin family.
