Mary Louise Hawks

Mrs. Mary Louise Hawks, age 68 of Cana, VA, widow of Mr. Ralph Hawks, passed away Friday, December 22, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Hawks was born in Carroll County, August 30, 1938 to James and Mary Vernon Richardson. She was a retired certified nursing assistant and was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gregg and Liesa Hawks and Mitchell Hawks all of Cana; grandchildren, Brittany Hawks, Stewart Hawks and Jacob Hawks; and a special friend, Richard Jones of Fancy Gap; a very special niece and husband, Linda and Bob Webb of Hillsville, VA; aunts, Rosie Quesinberry of Mt. Airy, Ella Mae Jones and Virginia Vernon both of Cana, VA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by brothers, Troy and Glenn Richardson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church by Rev. David (Buster) Sechrist with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service at other times at the home of her son Gregg, 203 Grace Lane, Cana, VA.
