Mary Margaret Goins Hodge

Ms. Mary Margaret Goins Hodge, 63, of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Golden Living Center. Ms. Hodge was born October 22, 1944, in Wilkes County, to the late John Abe and Mary Jane Goins. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Lynn Hall of Mt. Airy; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gray and Sherri Hodge and Eric Lee Hodge, all of Mt. Airy; ten grandchildren, Christina Hall, Doug Carter, Stacy Hall, Laura Hodge, Meagan Hodge, John Hodge, Eric Hodge, Jr., Elizabeth Hodge, Angelina Hodge, and Jackson Hodge; a great grandchild, Michael Thomas Needham; a step-grandchild, Preston Hicks; four sisters, Louise Minton of Taylorsville, Yvonne Snow of Jacksonville, FL, Nelda France of Mt. Airy, and Faye Tutterow of Mt. Airy; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay and Faye Goins of Thomasville and Kenneth and Gail Goins of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hodge was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Douglas Motley, Jr.; and several sisters and brothers. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Hank Robertson, and burial will follow in Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
